05/04/2024: Magnificent place, absolutely worth visiting. The wonderful guide told us the history of this place full of events, partly restored for certain pieces. The place also hosts cultural and artistic events.

25/03/2024: Very disappointing experience, and services certainly not up to the standard of a starred restaurant, and in any case not up to our expectations. Nor the price. The starter: mackerel smothered with a saffron condiment that is way too vinegary. The scallops were completely killed by the power of the broccoli which had no interest in this dish. The waiter announces to us in his description a “wonderful endive leaf” (sic) which was just an ordinary endive leaf garnished with an apple brunoise without the slightest taste. In blind tasting, I challenge anyone to recognize the nature of this brunoise. As for the main course, the meat was much too firm (chuck on a starred menu?!?…), the beetroot was much too salty, and the onion compote and shitaki emulsion were barely warm… For dessert, the apple sorbet triangle was apple in name only because it had absolutely no taste. Finally, to top it all off, the coffees served were barely lukewarm… For the service, a waiter delivering familiar humor worthy of a café counter each time we pass, and reciting in an incomprehensible way the description of the dishes with obviously the desire for it to end quickly. In short, extreme disappointment on all levels, apart from the magnificent setting of the abbey and the advice for choosing wines…

24/03/2024: Cuisine of great finesse and very inspired. Really well done to the chef.. On the other hand, service (or kitchen?) is too long: + 3 hours even though we arrived at 12:15 p.m. (in accordance with our reservation to be able to do visits in the afternoon). Finally disappointment with the wines in the “emotion tasting menu” (best wine menu). Slightly flat wines, always a note of acidity. On the paleron, a wine with more fruit would have been better. Emotion about the wines is not there.

16/10/2023: Small cozy restaurant, beautiful decor, beautiful atmosphere, excellent cuisine, impeccable service.

01/04/2024: Great restaurant in Fontevraud. The servers take great care of you and the food is delicious. The only downside is that restaurant vouchers are not accepted.

27/03/2024: Very warm welcome, friendly team. Very good, refined and well presented dishes in a very pretty setting.
