A wonderful experience visiting Fontevraud Abbey at night. However, a little more quiet reflection in the abbey church would have been appreciated; otherwise, it was very well done.

Certainly, the place is sublime, the Romanesque architecture "divine". But what a shame that the "operators" cannot find a balance between marketing exploitation, a venue for contemporary exhibitions, and a place steeped in a particularly rich history.

This abbey is splendid, and the sound and light show is magnificent! We stayed with friends at the abbey hotel, which made it even more magical! We highly recommend it!

If you're passionate about history, this one is unique and steeped in history. Take the time to wander through this magnificent place. They offer evening tours of the abbey, which are truly wonderful. A place where you should definitely take your time 😊

03/08/2026: I thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant, both the food and the professionalism of the staff. A big thank you also to the Chef who accommodated my requests (without this, without that, etc.)! I particularly recommend the creamy dessert for those with a sweet tooth…
23/07/2026: We arrived unexpectedly and were greeted with smiles and warmth. The experience was pleasant and the meal delicious in a relaxing setting. I recommend it 🙂
