Magnificent place, absolutely worth visiting. The wonderful guide told us the history of this place full of events, partly restored for certain pieces. The place also hosts cultural and artistic events.

Gorgeous !!! A real favorite for this abbey with its rich historical and contemporary past! 13€ per place is a bit expensive but it's worth it 👍

Honestly a great place, quiet, renovated and modern while keeping its history! I recommend, the hotel and restaurant are also great!

Beautiful buildings but deplorable wheelchair accessibility only the 1st level is said to be accessible but after a steep path and removable wooden ramps that are too steep, not in compliance with standards! How are the architects of buildings in France chosen and trained!? To definitely see again

We discovered this place by pure chance, we were sleeping in the abbey hotel, the place is incredible, majestic, after the revolution this abbey became a prison until 1963, it is a magical place

12/12/2023: An elegant, old country estate, picturesquely located, with exquisite cuisine, excellent, calm service and a historical flair. I would love to come back!!!
27/11/2023: We appreciated the cuisine as much as the discreet and attentive welcome, as well as the setting. Thank you again for the very pleasant evening we spent, accompanied by very good advice on some well-chosen local vintages that we were able to taste. I hope we'll come back to see you for a themed dinner - the Russian evening sounds really nice!

Restaurant Le Plantagenêt

01/04/2024: Great restaurant in Fontevraud. The servers take great care of you and the food is delicious. The only downside is that restaurant vouchers are not accepted.
27/03/2024: Very warm welcome, friendly team. Very good, refined and well presented dishes in a very pretty setting.
