Second time at this restaurant.
We wanted to try again, but we won't be returning. The prices are still quite high, especially considering the meager side dishes (potatoes) (3 or 4 small ones), the meat wasn't cooked as requested (we asked for rare, but got it raw and cold in the center) for both of our dishes, and I found a hair in my plate. Furthermore, regarding hygiene, the owner constantly wears the same gloves for cooking, answering the phone, and opening the door for customers! Very poor! And you have to ask several times for a carafe of water, so sorry.
The place did seem cozy, though, with the fireplace.

First time visiting the restaurant with my family, and we had a wonderful time!
We received a warm welcome from the waitress and the owner, Agnès. The service was impeccable, and the food was truly delicious. 😊 Thank you to the chef and the waitress! 🙂👏 I will definitely return and highly recommend this warm and authentic restaurant!
The only slight drawback is the lack of a children's menu or simple dishes; that would be great. :)

A wonderful discovery today in the heart of Rennes, tucked away in a small alley near the Parliament: a charming little restaurant where we savored a sublime beef bourguignon cooked over a wood fire in a magnificent fireplace, along with homemade desserts like rum baba and kouign amann. Our hostess-cook shared some traditional recipes with us. The service was impeccable. We will definitely return and highly recommend it.

Experience of Friday, November 20th, evening:
Arriving as a group of four without a reservation, Agnès (if I'm not mistaken) gave us a very warm welcome at THE TABLE by the fireplace. The friendly welcome and the location were very welcome on that chilly night.
We appreciated the cuisine and the service, which was professional, authentic, and friendly.
I'm truly surprised by some of the negative comments, as we, four aspiring restaurateurs, were delighted by the experience of this charming restaurateur, the likes of whom are increasingly rare.
