My husband and I were wandering about with no real plans after drivingaway from Nice, except to see the countryside, and landed in this wonderful little village and at this lovely hotel. We ended up spending 3 nights in a clean and comfortable room. We were treated so kindly and respectfully by the owner and staff. Breakfast was deluxe with many options. We really hated to leave and hope to return in the not so distant future. Castellane is an excellent base from which to explore the breathtaking countryside and the view from the chapel above town is quite extraordinary. Every turn in this sweet place is an opportunity to learn about its history.
