A real gem of a discovery in Montluçon ❤️ Thanks to a friend who owns a shop, I had the chance to discover Les 12 Apôtres Montluçon, a charming spot nestled in the heart of the historic district. From the moment you arrive, you feel a truly authentic and welcoming atmosphere. But what really makes the difference is the service: a lovely, passionate host who takes the time to share the building's history… even while serving customers on the terrace. And that's rare indeed. You don't just come here to eat, but to experience something special. I highly recommend it 🙏

Very nice historical setting, table for 8. Personally, I had an octopus salad as a starter which was quite good but a little too vinegary, a bavette steak as a main course which was very successful, and a first chocolate mousse with the egg white not whipped enough. They brought me another one with apologies which was very successful.

I'm lucky enough to regularly eat at all kinds of restaurants, but I have to say that Olivier's is something else entirely. Beyond the restaurant itself, I feel right at home; I feel welcomed in a truly special way! I highly recommend it; you won't be disappointed!

11/04/2026: We were passing through Montluçon and, given the weather, we had to cancel our picnic. No matter: the Brasserie de la Gare was waiting for us! A warm welcome. Perfect service. A sufficiently varied menu: everyone found something they liked, including the children – "the fries are so, so good!"...yes, indeed the fries were good, but so was everything else, and we didn't leave a single bite on our plates. One drawback (there has to be one...): a rather noisy atmosphere and cigarette smoke wafting in from outside... Almost unavoidable in the back room of a bar. The price/quality ratio was good (less than €25 per person for a main course, dessert, and drink on a Saturday lunchtime).
