It's surprising to find such a good bakery, pastry shop, and chocolate shop in such a small village. Everything is delicious.

The trompe l'oeil was as delicious as it was beautiful. The pistachio galette des rois was excellent. Note that there's a 0.50 cent charge for a place setting or a seat (even for cakes costing 6 euros!). The service was unfriendly, which is a shame!

We came there to get bread after spending a night with our campervan in the village square near the nurses' house for free. It was a great way to support local businesses! We settled in with the locals and enjoyed a cup of coffee and a treat. The people were friendly and helpful. So, in addition to the bread, we also picked up some other treats. Great place!

A pleasant shop offering on-site dining (sandwiches, etc.) in addition to classic products (baguettes, pastries, etc.). Bessines is a convenient stopover village, ideal for a holiday motorway break. You can relax in its tea room setting with tables. The service was friendly and excellent during my visit.

Nice place to stop for breakfast... two years ago. And since then, the breakfast price has skyrocketed to €8.50 for half a baguette with butter and jam and a cup of coffee with milk only two-thirds full. Go across the street.... On our last visit, the breakfast prices had gone down, which is good news.... Confirmed in December 2025

04/03/2026: Eating well and cooking well is a bit pricey à la carte, everything becomes separate, so think carefully, my friend. I was fasting, so no meat, it's the price of my peace of mind. Anyway, I had sea bream with a side of potatoes for 17.90, a Schweppes for 2.80, a simple starter of carrots and beets for 3.90, and a chocolate mousse for 3, totaling 27.60 euros. And if I had taken the dish of the day, heaven only knows I would have saved money: starter, main course, dessert, and cheese platter was 16.90 euros 😃. Anyway, the parking lot across the street was nice. I woke up and slept there, then at 5 am, I woke up and checked my truck, and well 🤪 my tarpaulin was cut. No merchandise stolen apparently, but security-wise, 0.10. If I were on the road, it would be the same. It was my first time there, but I don't know if I'll come back to sleep...

21/01/2026: Excellent value for money. The restaurant's food is very good, the Limousin beef is superb, as are the vegetables! The only downside was the somewhat cold welcome... What a shame!
31/12/2025: A very cute little hotel with very friendly staff :). The rooms are well-appointed and look like they've been recently renovated. Great location, close to the highway but very quiet. No complaints, hoping to return and try the restaurant :)
