We were there at the end of September, and it was a wonderful terrace, the people, the Provencal atmosphere—the food was delicious—everything was perfect! Everything, down to the smallest detail, was perfect. I definitely recommend dining here!

A particularly disappointing experience this evening at Matuzia. This is all the more regrettable as the food itself was excellent: the starter, main course, and fig dessert were very good. However, the chocolate-praline dessert left much to be desired, resting on an incredibly hard biscuit. Unfortunately, the quality of the dishes in no way compensated for the chaotic service and blatant lack of professionalism, unacceptable for an establishment with a bill exceeding €50 per person. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere on the terrace was spoiled by cigarette smoke. The service continued in this vein: the petit fours were brought to us before our starter by a waiter who described them to us while walking away with his back to us. This same waiter then had the audacity to tell the next table that he had only slept four hours after a techno party, a highly inappropriate confidence in front of the other customers. The most regrettable incident occurred during the meal: the waitress spilled and broke a glass of white wine on my partner, soaking his shirt and shorts. Instead of offering a genuine apology, she repeatedly laughed about it. My partner had to ask for something to wipe himself up. She hastily cleaned the table, leaving shards of glass on the floor, along with bits of clipped fingernails. At no point were we offered a replacement glass from our bottle, a complimentary digestif, or any other gesture of goodwill. When the bill arrived, the waiter feigned surprise at our dissatisfaction and initially refused any compensation. We had to insist before he even agreed to remove the €5 surcharge on my dessert. The service was appalling, and there was a complete lack of consideration for customers. We will not be returning.

It's hard to see from the main road, which is a shame because it's one of the best restaurants in Agay. You can park a little further down in the large (free) parking lot. The setting: a superb little shaded terrace. As for the food, we recommend the €35 set menu; it's excellent value for money. It's delicious, and the chef is very talented. On Wednesdays, they have grilled sardines that are absolutely divine. You have to book, otherwise it's impossible to get a table. We'll definitely go back. The staff: the lady is very kind, the waiter is sometimes stressed.

The restaurant is very pretty, the cuisine is original, tasty, and flavorful—almost a semi-gastronomic experience in my opinion—the service is perfect, and there's a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Not to mention the complimentary snacks served with the aperitif and after-dessert. We'll definitely be back! ☺️

Excellent meal, very good value for money with the set menu! One small drawback: during the day, the road next to the restaurant is noisy and slightly detracts from the experience. Otherwise, it would be perfect!
