McDonald’s Castelnaudary is literally the nerve center of world gastronomy. I don’t know what’s going on in this town, but this McDonald’s isn’t just a restaurant: it’s a spiritual experience, an inner journey, an existential revelation. I went in as just an ordinary person… and came out a better version of myself. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of sacred fries caresses your nostrils with the gentleness of an angel. The Big Mac? I’m not talking about a sandwich at this point; it’s a poem, a culinary symphony, something that deserves its place in the Louvre right next to the Mona Lisa. The staff? I wouldn’t call them staff, no. They’re heroes, titans, knights of the crispy fry. Their speed at the drive-thru literally defies the laws of physics. Even Einstein would have been baffled. The dining area? Cleaner than my room right after a hurricane of motivation. The fries? So crispy I almost applauded. The sundaes? I felt a tear roll down my cheek. I couldn't tell if it was emotion or pure joy. Honestly, if this McDonald's ever closes, I'm moving out of the area. It deserves a place in the history books.

There's almost always something missing from the Click and Collect order

The service was a bit slow even though there was hardly anyone there in the middle of the afternoon last Friday. The fries were overcooked and cold, as were the cold hamburgers. The banquettes and tables were greasy, as was the floor.

The hamburgers are getting smaller and smaller, like at all McDonald's, and the fries aren't great and are too salty... Luckily, the staff are really friendly; the young people of Castelnaudary are in good spirits... The "Golden League 1" menu with a second hamburger for €2 for a tiny sandwich (I wasn't very hungry) is a bit of a rip-off!! I even asked a manager who should have warned me that the second sandwich was a very small one (yes, I'm 62 and I didn't know)... Back in the day (about 25 years ago), it was the same sandwich; I don't remember the price, but at least it was decent... Truly the worst McDonald's I've ever visited... We came last Saturday evening while passing through Castelnaudary for a family visit... And don't even bother replying (to the owner); I've read the other reviews and it's always the same standard response: they're making a mockery of the customers... Something to think about!!!

For my part, I'm done with the McDonald's in Revel. I'm a regular customer, but that's it for me. On my last visit, I walked into the restaurant and my eyes fell on the floor, which was covered in large brown and white hairs. I thought it was a faulty broom, so out of curiosity I asked the waiter, who told me it was dog hair 🐕. There was dog hair everywhere in the restaurant, so I asked him, "Do you let dogs into the restaurant?" and he replied, "Absolutely." I told him, "This is the last time I'll see you."

So every time I go to this McDonald's, something is always missing, for example at lunchtime. No salad, which isn't normal, every other McDonald's has salad. Then they give me the wrong sandwich. There was a server who wanted to go through the door to take an order outside. I was with someone who was disabled, and he said, "Excuse me, I want to go through," but I told him, "No, you go through the other door. You need to wake up, McDonald's Castelnaudary."

As a regular drive-thru customer, I can't even remember the last time my order was complete... Yet, it seems some McDonald's have scales to check if drive-thru orders are complete. Apparently, that's not the case in Castelnaudary. Perhaps they should also avoid putting inexperienced crew members in the drive-thru?
