The staff were very pleasant and attentive, especially to our little dog Urphée, a French bulldog. It's always a great pleasure to stay at this perfectly located hotel. Dr. Jean-Jacques Charbonier

The hotel is very well located: opposite the port, close to the city center yet away from the main roads to avoid the noise, and also very close to bus stops. The staff was very friendly, and the cocktails were amazing, with a bonus explanation of the hotel's history. The room was clean, a bit small in the standard category for unfolding a suitcase, but that's a minor detail.

The hotel is very well located. There's a beautiful view of the harbor. The rooms are well laid out, with comfortable beds and toiletries provided. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of items. There's secure, gated parking, but it's not free.

A lovely, well-located hotel offering excellent amenities. A big thank you to all the hotel staff (reception, restaurant, and bar), who were welcoming and very helpful. Special thanks to the bartender, who took the time to tell me where to buy beer from one of the local breweries, and to the waitress who was incredibly attentive throughout dinner.

The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, with no through traffic, and a superb view of the marina and the towers of La Rochelle. It's a little outside the heart of the old town (about a 15-minute walk), but right next to the La Rochelle Aquarium and quite close to the cinema and the climbing gym (great for children). The family room is perfect for young children: spacious, nicely decorated, and well-equipped (bathtub, Nespresso machine, kettle with tea, two televisions). The breakfast is excellent, very varied, and of high quality. The scrambled eggs were incredibly soft, and the French toast was perfect. The only downside: the hotel restaurant was rather expensive for our small family, which led us to eat out. We would have preferred a more affordable option and something a little less refined. Since the hotel is a bit out of the way, you have to walk a little further to find a wide selection of restaurants.

19/02/2026: Restaurant on the port, warm and friendly atmosphere.
31/01/2026: A great place to eat fresh seafood. The welcome and service were perfect. We ordered the lobster menu and we weren't disappointed. We tried both lobsters, and we particularly enjoyed the one with coral butter and its delicious sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Le Cafe de l'Aquarium

28/02/2026: Service, setting and quality of products (carefully presented dishes) are all excellent! A great experience.
26/02/2026: Discovering the aquarium and the restaurant. The pros: - The generous and separate side dishes - The menu items - The lounge areas at the entrance and behind the bar - The baby changing area, which isn't in the women's restroom, and whose changing mat is on a firm surface (a huge plus for a wriggling child!) - The high chair, as well as the offer to warm up food (even though I didn't need it) - The view The cons (which wasn't a surprise, since we mentioned it during our meal): Only soft drinks or cocktails are entitled to appetizers, but not a glass of wine or beer. The absurdity of this meant that, on that day (a Monday during school holidays, near La Rochelle), the appetizers were served to two children at the table next to us (the youngest of whom wouldn't have been entitled to them, according to any parent strictly following the recommendations for introducing solids...). I did not appreciate that the "fault" (of the lack of service, then of the lack of information) was placed on "the colleague who is starting today".
