Great experience! Very good food and a warm welcome.
I don't eat gluten, so I mentioned it upon arrival, and a waitress very kindly brought me gluten-free soy sauce.

Michi in Paris is a lovely little spot for sushi — small, intimate, and full of that authentic charm. We had the sashimi platters, which were fresh, nicely presented, and really satisfying. It does get quite busy during lunch hours, but that just adds to the lively atmosphere, and it’s fun watching the chefs prepare everything right in front of you. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby and craving quality sushi in a cozy setting.

It was an excellent experience. We sat at the bar and got to watch the food being made.
It’s a very small space, very cozy and has a homemade atmosphere.
The staff is very friendly and sweet.
I would 100% do it again and recommend !

The sushi is good, but the price is too high!
The beef tataki is just okay.
The downstairs dining room is nice, but if it's a bit noisy, the echo quickly becomes deafening.

I've been around this place for a few years now, and I can't tell you that, for me, it's the best sushi in Paris. I'm not talking about ordinary low-end sushi like you find in "Japanese restaurants," I'm talking about a real SUSHI-YA! At the counter, an old Japanese gentleman who must surely be the owner: he's the sushi master. He prepares everything in front of you, to order. The menu is simple but effective, with several fish dishes on offer. You also have starters.
I always order the sushi menu; as a side, you always get miso soup and an appetizer of the day (it changes depending on the season). Last time I came with my husband and we had a blast; this time we had sashimi. It would be ideal to make a reservation if you want to come in the evening or on the weekend. All the staff speak Japanese and are attentive. The place isn't big (the counter + a cellar in the basement), but the immersive experience takes place at the counter. As for the prices, honestly, they are very affordable. I haven't found anything better anywhere else.
