12/09/2024: Very friendly staff, wide choice of homemade sweet and savory products.
I tried a bento cake for a birthday. They are beautiful but I was quite disappointed because there was too much cream for my taste. Note that the service is top notch: I had a small problem with the cake but the staff was very attentive, understanding and quickly did what was necessary to remedy the situation. THANKS !
06/09/2024: I lived in Paris 13th in my youth (in Porte d'Ivry), I knew this pastry shop by sight without ever having set foot there and therefore without ever having bought anything at the time, I just had a few classmates who went there occasionally to buy one or two things. Years later, having moved from the 13th to Montrouge, I see that in the era of social networks like Instagram, this pastry shop is creating hype and has since been taken over by the daughter of the former owner, so a lot of Things have apparently changed and been "modernized". Anyway, I finally went today (so years later), I just went to buy to taste their famous Banh Mi sandwiches with their homemade sauce (a special pork and one with crispy chicken, so a classic and a modern recipe ), and...it's not bad, but it's not worth those of Saigon Sandwich in Belville (one of my favorites in terms of Banh Mi) but it's okay, it's good, on the other hand it remains very "Asian" so a a little salty if you're not used to it (because there is soy sauce in the sandwich and the meats are a little salty too), quite a bit of fat in the special pork one, and the crispy chicken one I'm came across three pieces of bone (I don't know what it's called), so it spoils the fun a little. Price-wise, their Banh Mi sandwiches are in the high range of "equivalent" competitors nearby (like Tang Gourmet or the Banh Mi which are more "high-end" and homemade), their competitors for Banh Mi like Thieng Heng or Hoa Nam next door are cheaper for example. I also had a pot of vanilla ice cream with the sandwiches, the taste was good (vanilla is always good anyway, no need for high end), but there was an aftertaste of something else thing with (the matcha?) but it wasn't annoying but it wasn't the taste of a "classic" vanilla. I got it for 14.80 euros for everything, rather expensive for 2 normal size sandwiches + 1 ice cream (inflation has been there), but for Paris it's still "correct" unfortunately. In terms of reception I didn't have a problem, but reception is always a different feeling depending on each person, therefore very subjective. Strange thing too: I didn't have a single napkin for my ice cream or my sandwiches (in the photos I see that some customers have a napkin with their ice cream or something else, so it's not normal that I don't I didn't have a single towel), towel that the competition automatically gives, so perhaps it was an oversight on the part of the saleswoman who served me.
