Lovely little spot with fresh, tasty food and super friendly staff. Make sure to book ahead!
The only minor downside is that it can feel a bit smoky inside.

A wonderful experience at Mokonuts; the food was delicious and refined.
The owner is incredibly friendly.
The space is a bit small (and some smells linger), but this doesn't detract from the overall quality of the experience.
We will gladly return.

Lived up to the hype. Really delicious food. And lovely service from this small restaurant in Paris. Recommend.

Oh, how I loved dining at Mokonuts in Paris!
The unusual name caught my eye when I first started my restaurant research. But it was the reviews and feedback that cemented it as a “must do” for me. We managed to get a resy at this tiny (22 seats), lunch-only, Mon-Fri only, Mom and Pop shop. And it lived up to the accolades.
Super-vibrant Moko Hirayama greeted and seated us. She’s an ex-NYC lawyer and amateur baker turned professional baker, plus front of house wizard. Back in the miniscule open kitchen we saw her husband, Omar Koreitem, furiously finishing prep and start to cook at 12 noon sharp, all with just one other staffer.
By the way, this Japanese – Lebanese couple just released a fabulous, beautiful cookbook (Mokonuts, Phaidon Press)… and it tells the story better than I can here. Suffice to say – highest recommendation – order it today!
On our visit in November, my wife and I ordered almost the entire lunch menu, small by design, but absolutely terrific from start to finish. Check out some of the photos…
*Organic Chicken, Pomme Ratte, Bruxelle Sprouts, Jus
*Slow-Cooked Salmon, Salsify, Endives
*Hamachi Crudo, Sumac, Lemon
*Labné, Puntarelle
*Tangy Lemon Tart, Pomegranate, Coconut Cream, Quince, Tapioca, Pomelo
*Various exterior, inside, prep, dining room shots, and more.
Mokonuts is one of those special places you don’t come across very often. If you’re headed to Paris, please start working on securing a resy ASAP.
If you’re not travelling, get the cookbook and enjoy at home. Either way, you can’t go wrong!

Splendid food, warmest recommendation (if you don't mind tables being set so close that you're almost sitting in your neighbor's lap)

Excellent, very inventive cuisine.
Two minor drawbacks: a bit pricey and cramped (but hey, it's Paris!).
A trendy spot, and deservedly so.

What a wonderful little restaurant! Truly a hidden gem in Paris - delicious food and a well curated wine list. Although the space is a little tight, the meal and experience are truly exceptional - I’ll definitely be back.

The food was high quality and very good. However, I was expecting a bit more originality. As for the ambiance, I didn't appreciate the rushed service and the coldness (with a fan running in the middle of November).
