Food quality above average. Difficult to book. It's well worth the effort.

Best meal I’ve ever had in Paris. Super friendly staff, fresh ingredients, and no-fuss simple recipes that NAIL the seasoning and balance every time. I will absolutely be back and can’t recommend this place enough. This team has something very special

My cousin found this place and asked me to join her for lunch so I didn't know anything about it. I was surprised to see how small of an establishment it was but they were working hard to ensure a great lunch. Server was very friendly and the food was excellent. We were one of the last customers before they closed and it was nice to chat with the server (wife of the cook and co-owner).

This was by far our favorite meal in Paris! We were visiting for a week and managed to snag a last minute reservation for a late lunch one afternoon… we were thrilled! The owners were so incredibly friendly, and the food was amazing! From the atmosphere to the service to the food, Mokonuts did not disappoint! Would recommend this to anyone visiting Paris! (They’re only open for breakfast and lunch so definitely make a reservation!)

This is one of the best and most memorable meals I've had in a few years (i live and eat out in NYC).
I had the Salade de tomate ancienne, poutargue, sauce romesco(tomato salad with poutargue and romesco sauce) as a starter, Volaille de La Maison Garat, pomme de terre, haricot vert et salsa verde (Poultry from Maison Garat with potatoes, green beans and salsa verde) as the main, and the cheesecake for dessert.
Simple yet vibrant, with balanced flavors and textures throughout all the dishes, all perfectly cooked. The chefs here know how to bring out the best of the seasonal vegetables they cook with, without being pretentious at all. Not to mention, the dishes were plated beautifully! The owner was also incredibly kind and friendly.
I leave tomorrow, but I wish I could come back to try their other dishes.

The restaurant is very small and it feels like home. The cuisine is delicious and the materials are seasonal and very fresh. The Orecchiette Breton lobster starter is truly magnificent. The prices are very correct. The people are friendly. I fell in love with this restaurant. I will come back =)

It’s a small, nondescript restaurant, only seating about 20-25 people. But the food is worth every bite. A young husband and wife team run the place. He’s in the kitchen. She handles the customers. Menu is small - order everything on it. Yes,I mean everything.

I eat at Mokonuts every time I'm in Paris (since 2017!), and it's consistently one of my favorite meals on each trip. It's one of the first reservations I book because they fill up so quickly, and a place where you can just order one of everything (perfect for two people) because it's all so delicious.
There's so much I love about it: the cozy space, great light, beautiful tile floor, creative and thoughtful food, and unique wine selection. My favorite part is seeing Moko, who is energetic, friendly, and warm, all while running around juggling five different roles.
Some reviews mention that it's "touristy," and I can see where that comes from—yes, there are tourists (like me) and you hear English spoken at many tables—but it doesn't *feel* touristy to me. When I think of touristy, I think of places like Junior's in Times Square, and this is far from that.
I think part of the attraction for out-of-towners is that Moko and Chef Omar are worldly people, having lived in New York, London, Tokyo, and other interesting places. That plus being written up in major international publications will certainly draw a global clientele. I don't think it's a negative thing at all!
