If you're looking for a traditional andouillette sausage, this is the place to go.
The Chartreuse crème brûlée is excellent and original.
In short, a very good dish in a pleasant setting.
The waiter and the chef are very friendly.
The chef even took the time to give us some recipe tips.
However, fellow RVers, as you've probably guessed, it's best to forget about visiting Lyon in a motorhome.

The staff may change, but what remains most important is always the "Spirit"—the spirit of the restaurant, the bistro spirit. The quality of the welcome, the quality of the varied and always delicious dishes. But also, and this is very important to me: observing how the staff is trained, always with kindness and the right tone, is paramount. We were visiting Lyon and the four of us dined here on New Year's Eve. Choosing this restaurant turned out to be a perfect choice. The food was excellent, and the service was witty, quick, and friendly.
Contrary to what the name "Bistrot" might suggest, this is a restaurant with rather upscale cuisine of a high standard—but at absolutely fair prices. Two of us opted for the three-course menu (€34), and we were all delighted with every single dish.
We had a wonderful evening and highly recommend L'Esprit Bistrot.
