We've known Saint Georges for a long time but hadn't been back since our time living abroad in Canada. We were very disappointed, especially since we had booked for the second seating on a Saturday night. The service was rushed, far too quick. Seated in the summer loggia, we were freezing cold, even though there were tables available nearby and on the first floor.
The QR code system for choosing the menus is not what you'd expect from a supposedly upscale crêperie. We were all glued to our smartphones, busy reading everything to make our choices, and that's only when the Wi-Fi allowed!
We noticed a decline in quality, with less refinement and that little something extra that makes our taste buds sing. We had a gingerbread galette with pan-seared foie gras and a leek fondue galette with scallops. On the other hand, the carrot and curry sorbet was original and delicious. For a crêperie of this caliber, we expect better. It's a shame, we won't be recommending it anymore. Furthermore, the decor hasn't really changed in five years or more... except for the imposing chandelier in the entrance, which did make quite an impression.
I was surprised not to see it listed in yesterday's Ouest France ranking, "The Best Crêperies in Rennes." Rennes is an attractive city and should maintain its high standards in terms of gastronomy as well. Don't disappoint us.

Excellent crêperie with a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere! Wide selection with crêpes that are out of the ordinary. Generous portions and very good. The service was also very good. Truly an excellent place in Rennes.

Good evening. It's very disappointing not to have a printed menu. We had someone with us who wasn't comfortable using a smartphone, so it was difficult for them to choose. Offering printed menus to people who aren't comfortable using a smartphone should be considered, as there are quite a few of them... Something to think about.

This is truly our favorite crêperie in Rennes. We've never eaten such generously filled crêpes, like proper meals. Usually, we end up hungry, but here, the main course alone is sometimes enough (though I still recommend trying the desserts, which are excellent). It's simply perfect. The place is calm and very pleasant.

Excellent experience at this crêperie! Everything was perfect: delicious and generously filled galettes, a warm and friendly atmosphere – we felt right at home.
Unfortunately, they don't have a printed menu. However, offering a selection of the best wines to pair with the galettes on the menu is a great idea and a real bonus. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Passing through Rennes, I tasted the best galettes of my life, topped with my absolute favorite thing in the world: sorbet! 😮💨 The cucumber on my galette was simply divine.
The setting is GORGEOUS and the staff is just LOVELY.
Please, open a restaurant in Strasbourg! ❤️❤️❤️

An elegant crêperie with a menu that draws you in with its originality.
Perfect service.
We chose a buckwheat galette, a Washington galette, and a St. Georges galette (the buckwheat ice cream intrigued me ☺️). I tasted the ice cream first; the buckwheat flavor was very subtle and the ice cream was sweet. I might have preferred it to be more salty and have a stronger buckwheat flavor. I spread it on the galette like a cream, and it was still very good.
We chose the extra dry cider, a perfect match for us. For dessert, we had an excellent salted caramel crêpe and a banana chocolate crêpe. My husband found the chocolate disappointing—"the sauce tasted more like water than chocolate," which was a shame. The coffee was "strong," just so you know. Personally, I prefer those with a fuller mouthfeel.
For me, it was a great discovery.
