Excellent welcome and very good meal. Barely expensive for the neighborhood, but it works with the Restpolitan Card (in March 2024), so the bill is lower. It's not a large table, but the setting is very beautiful, especially for a restaurant-bistro. I don't know what happened with other customers, but for us the service was impeccable, and above all a warm welcome. The average score seems unduly low to me. We liked it, and we're sharing the information!

We ate there by chance on our trip to Paris, and even though there were many customers, they served us quickly and very well. Good service and good quality of food, and they also have a very nice terrace with outdoor heating where we had a great time!

We had 2 marvelous dinners there. The first night we had a big vegetarian sandwich, a Croque monsieur & a plate of fries. It all was so good we went back for Lamb chop dinner & we're not disappointed. We were each served 3 large well prepared lamb chops & we ordered a side of Vegetables and frites as they were different but excellent. The leftovers including the bones we requested were all given to us in separate foil made cups. We would go back again as we loved the service and food but we are returning home to San Diego.

The onion soup was good, just great! What can we say about the coffee? We’ve never had a cappuccino worse than here! Apparently cheap coffee beans and a coffee machine. The foam stayed in the cup for half a minute

Alright. I recommend. The croissants are of impeccable quality as is the old-fashioned hot chocolate. The waiter was very friendly and there was a very good atmosphere.

The hostess or waitress who first met us at the front door was a bit hostile but the waiter we dealt with for dining was great. We both ordered the specials of the day and we're really happy with the quality of the food. Looking at the desserts other received we should have just gotten a dessert there instead of the pattiserie across the street.

Loved this place. Sit back, relax, preferably not in a rush, and enjoy the delicious food and well made drinks they have to offer. It was a random stop but we’ll be back later on.

Boulangerie CHEVALIER

03/11/2023: it’s the boulangerie around the corner, i think it used to be french ownership but changed to a (?) Indian family, looks like mother and daughter there are always long lines and they don’t really talk to you or have time to introduce the products but good heavens where to find such a thing in Paris? also interestingly, they have kugelhopfs (treat which i grew to enjoy in Alsace which i haven’t found elsewhere in Paris / Ile de France) and various jewish treats like challah. the baguette de près (which is a baguette epi) is very good and very pretty. the feuillantines look pretty but i’ve never tried them before 🙂 UPDATE: now that i have moved from this quarter i appreciate how good this bakery is, it was just annoying from what i remember how many people were lined up on saturday morning (it’s a street that receives a lot of foot traffic since it’s a touristic district of Paris)
01/08/2023: Absolutely delicious! The baguettes and other breads are absolutely divine, they are always perfectly cooked. Also, it’s the perfect place if you wanna grab a quick bite or a quick lunch! I go there very often and I absolutely recommend!
