Excellent Japanese restaurant! Having eaten Japanese food before, this is undoubtedly one of the best I've had the pleasure of discovering in France.

A small, authentic place. Warm welcome, perfect for those who appreciate Japanese cuisine prepared on-site. Affordable prices. It's so good that reservations are essential.

Came here for a Friday night dinner with a colleage. Coming in you are immediately greeted with a tradionally japanese feeling interiour with the Kimono's on the wall. It was a very warm and cosy feeling place. I booked in advance over the phone which was easy enough to do. I would definitely recommend this as it got very busy shortly after we arrived. Immedately after sitting down we were given some steamed edamame pods which were a nice pre dinner nibble. Our waiter whilst wewere attempting to converse in French spoke very good English and happily switched between the two when we made a fumble in our words. For drinks we tried the cocktails which were lovely and refreshing. For food we both opted for the three course medium quantity menu. Which was an entree, plat and dessert (sans sushi). I went for the gyoza as starter, okonomiyaki for main and the doriyaki parfait for dessert. Everything I had was great and a very good representation of authentic Japanese food. There were no complaints from both of us. My only mine gripe was that I wish the Okonomiyaki came with more of the brown sauce because I definitley would have loved more. The presentation of the food was also excellent. Overall a great place for Japenese food and next time I hope to come and try the sushi. Also the chef is an increibly wacky and charismatic person so make sure you have a chat if you see him. You'll know who it is...

A lovely restaurant, charming inside with very pleasant service. The appetizers are quite good, whether it's the gyoza or the karaage chicken pieces; the sushi is also very decent, the fish wasn't bad, but the rice lacked firmness, and the shrimp sushi fell apart on its own, which is a shame. The chicken tariaki was also very good. It's nice to have tasting menus like this, especially since there are several different ones. It might be a little pricey for what it is, but it's a very nice restaurant, a safe bet.

On our way back from the South of France, we were wandering around Aix en Provence, thinking we might want to stop by for a ramen spot, when my husband happened to find it on Google Maps. The owner is Japanese, and the whole family was very satisfied. We had okonomiyaki, which we hadn't had in a while, eel rice bowl, and ramen, which my son loves, and it was all delicious and everyone was very satisfied. The staff were kind, and the story of how the husband and wife opened their restaurant was interesting. I'd like to stop by again next time I'm in the South. Thank you for the meal. I immediately followed the Instagram account recommended by the husband.

The best Japanese restaurant I know. A must-try at least once if you're just passing through Aix.
