The lunch menu is simple and effective. Everything was very good, very fresh, and beautifully presented. We were a little worried about the portion sizes, but in the end, they were fine.

Fantastic quality Japanese food. Only open one day a week for dinner and it's a must visit if you get the chance. Lovely service and atmosphere. We had a great Riesling from Alsace which complemented the food exceptionally. Would definitely return.

Best Japanese restaurant in Tours, and I mean it! The food is excellent and truly transports you. The service is very pleasant and welcoming. It's a bit pricey, but considering the quality of the ingredients, it's absolutely worth it. I'll definitely be back! Just remember to book ahead! 😉

I had searched up highly rated (4.5+) restaurants using Google and found this place on a Sunday. After a museum visit and a walk along the Loire River we walked to this place a little after noon, when it opens and luckily was able to score counter seating (as we didn’t make a reservation) and there are only 5 seats and 2 were already taken. There were 3 appetizers on offer and 2 set menus (cute 2-story bento box お弁当、fish-of-the-moment chirashi sushiちらし寿司). I loved the beautiful ceramic dishes stacked at the counter (feast for the eyes). Pros: a-sincere and warm omotenashi service, b-perfect seasoning (not too salty) of miso soup and sushi rice; c-portion size was just right (e.g., hara hachi bu) leaving me sated but not stuffed. Could be better: a- the cooked fish side dish was dry/tough; b-tiny tuna cubes in the chirashi were difficult to eat; c-it is a bit pricey. We were happy to find this restaurant as a sort of palate cleanser between eating traditional French bistro fare.

What a wonderful discovery! I was lucky enough to snag a table for my birthday lunch, and the experience was perfect. The welcome was incredibly warm, and the counter service was so friendly. The deliberately limited menu is a testament to freshness: the dishes are of exceptional quality. While the presentation is already exquisite, it's the taste that truly makes the magic happen. I savored every single bite! I'll definitely be back, but this time, I'll be sure to make a reservation.

I travel to Japan every year for work and am very familiar with the country's cuisine. For me, this was by far the best Japanese restaurant I've eaten at in France. Everything was perfect and exactly what you'd find there. Special mention goes to the fish and the scallops, which were incredibly tender, the likes of which I've never experienced here. To top it all off, the service was impeccable! Go without hesitation.
