An incredible culinary experience. The eel is cooked to perfection, as is the rice. The little red bottle dispenses a seasoning that perfectly complements the eel. The eggplant with miso sauce is also absolutely divine. I had a heavenly time at this restaurant. Go without hesitation; it's a gem, a marvel.

Later, I went back for dinner and had sashimi, which was absolutely delicious. It was on par with high-end restaurants in Japan. I was so impressed! 😍😍

I had always wanted to try Nodaiwa but never had the chance during my previous visits to Japan. I went to Nodaiwa Pairs with very high expectations. Sadly it was a bit disappointing. The unagi was definitely prepared and grilled properly, but it was lacking flavour and was even a bit bitter in some parts. Perhaps it’s an off season for eel so the restaurant couldn’t source high quality eels. The staff were all very welcoming and nice.

This was my first visit in 20 years. I'm sorry to compare it to Nodaiwa in Japan, which I frequent, but the grilled skewers and everything else were unfortunately too hard and too salty. My friend ate most of it. The tea was also quickly taken away at the end, so maybe you have to leave quickly.
