I had the pleasure of having lunch there with friends, and we had a fantastic time for two reasons: - The food - Especially the atmosphere!!! The staff are very warm and friendly. I highly recommend this excellent Parisian brasserie!!!

We stopped for lunch in this iconic little square. We were looking for traditional, simple, and satisfying cuisine, in the spirit of a true Parisian brasserie, and we weren't disappointed. The dishes were good, generous, and served quickly: exactly what we were looking for. Well… we also wanted the Parisian atmosphere, and we got it in spades! A not particularly friendly waiter and a constant stream of tourists. In the end, it's almost part of the experience. A good place if you're looking for a typically Parisian, no-nonsense break.

We had a great meal here about seven years ago, and came back to find it all still just as good. Menu is seasonal, French traditional, and presented on chalkboards. Staff are friendly and - merçi! - didn’t do the thing of replying in English when I spoke my horrible French to them. I have to practice! The food was great, a lovely fresh endive salad, huge and delicious saucisson with lentils, and a wonderful fresh apricot clafoutis, not too sweet and a perfect texture. Wines are natural organic and reasonably priced - we had two glasses of champagne and shared a carafe of a lovely juicy Chenin. By the time we left, the place was absolutely buzzing, and this was a Monday afternoon in late July. We will definitely be back next year when we return to Paris. Merçi beaucoup à tous!

Excellent place! A warm welcome upon arrival, attentive and quick service. The dishes are delicious, beautifully presented, and prepared with quality ingredients. The setting is pleasant and the atmosphere friendly. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it and will gladly return.

Hard to believe that this place only rates a 3.6. I went there with others most nights for a week as we were staying just around the corner. Great service by owner and waiters with decent English and excellent food. Good wine too. Have a seat and watch all of the people taking photos of the "Emily In Paris" filiming locations that are right there. The next time I'm in Paris I'll be making a point of visiting there.

This setting could be used in a movie from the 1940-60s. It is not designed that way. It IS that way. Simple. Decent food, but the ambience is like stepping back in time. The three waiters kept up with the pace—which is leisurely, but that’s what eating in Parisian cafe is how it’s done. They smiled when they talked to you. The crowd didn’t fit in the small restaurant. Of course, small tables littered the narrow sidewalk, but a small square across the street had been colonized as well for the overflow. There were workmen, families and business folk, mostly on the island across the street.

29/08/2026: Maximum points for the food, because the macarons for dessert are unique. They need to improve hygiene and give us what we ordered, because no matter how many times we ordered in three days they kept forgetting to give us something (ketchup, hamburger-promotional, coffee).

06/09/2026: One purchase made directly in-store and one TooGoodToGo order. Regarding the in-store purchase, I got a durian puff pastry (€3.90 each), three sesame balls (€3.90 for three), and a slice of pandan cake (€4.90). I found the prices a bit high, except for the three sesame balls. Everything was pretty good; I wasn't expecting the pandan sesame ball to have such a different texture from the others. The taro and soy fillings were good. The durian puff pastry was perhaps a touch dry, the filling less intense than what I've tasted in other similar pastries. I wasn't sure what to expect from the pandan cake; the texture isn't as "sticky" as it looks in the photo—it's a slightly oily sponge cake—but it was good! For the TooGoodToGo zero-waste basket, I paid €4.99 for something worth €15—the basket was actually worth much more! I asked the seller if it would be possible to get some vegetarian options, which he agreed to. My basket contained two large pandan cream rolls, a small cake, a pandan brioche, a bag full of gyoza (I couldn't say for sure if they were vegetarian or not), and a bag of nine chocolate bao buns. The bag of bao was already worth €31 (I froze them, and they reheat very well steamed!), I estimate the rest to be worth around €20-25; a very generous basket indeed! I thought the gyoza wouldn't be edible very quickly, but in the end, after reheating them in the oven to make them crispy again, they lasted me for several days. You have to be okay with duplicates, though! As for the taste of the rolls/cakes/brioche, I have to admit I found them rather bland, but not bad. The baos and gyozas were good, however (even if the chocolate filling in the baos was a bit sparse, let's say). Regarding the service, it's still rather impersonal, but it's not a big deal. I'll most likely order TooGoodToGo baskets from them again, hoping to try other specialties at a lower cost!
