The station was clean and beautiful, with clear route signs, places to sit and rest, and even a Carrefour supermarket. I really liked it! ☺️

A large station well-connected to the entire Lyon public transport network. However, the construction work is ongoing and shows no signs of stopping. As a result, it's difficult to find a place to sit while waiting for your train, as the station is under construction. The platforms are very well signposted, though, and there are numerous shops inside the station. The new shopping arcade is very pleasant.

Lyon's Part-Dieu Station is very large and relatively new, having been built in 1978. It's one of seven stations in the city itself, a major railway, commercial, and business hub. It's quite complex, so you need to arrive at least an hour early to easily locate your platform or track and to have time to buy your ticket. It offers all the amenities of major French stations, with train connections to most of the country's major cities, as well as Geneva and Brussels. It's beautiful, well-organized, clearly signposted, and heavily guarded. Its location is relatively close to the famous Vieux Lyon (Old Lyon). Upon exiting the station, any street you take directly across leads to the Rhône River, and just across is the city's historic center. Crossing the Saône River, you'll find the city's old quarter proper. Rue Dr. Bouchut and, especially, Rue Servient are the two streets that lead almost directly to this area. historical.

Improved in recent years due to new, bright shopping area. Good new stores and overall the building has definitely improved. You will pay one euro to use the bathroom which is clean so consider that you are paying for cleanliness. There is a waiting room but they keep the door open so you can smell cigarette smoke wafting in.

The station is improving over time, but you need to know your way around to get around. Everything is very poorly signposted, and it's very crowded. A real nightmare for foreigners.

Lyon's main train station is correspondingly large. However, the food options are very poor. There are hardly any bakeries, and those that exist are outrageously overpriced. The platform areas are also in need of renovation. Only the newly designed station forecourt is quite attractive.

The Grand Voyageur Lounge isn't signposted and is really poorly located. It's a shame because it's perfectly equipped for business travelers between trips.

Very nice, clean and recent station with staff who are still human.
