O P'tit Encas sur Saint-Malo

Just passing through on a Sunday evening. A relaxed, friendly atmosphere with delicious, satisfying food. The owner/cook is a real character, a business like in the old days, with genuinely straightforward manner and remarkable kindness. It's not very big, but at least it creates a lovely dining ambiance :) I had the mussels and fries; the sauce was delicious, and the prices are very reasonable, which is a real plus. Thank you!

While on holiday in Saint-Malo, my wife and I were looking for a good restaurant serving quality mussels and fries in generous portions at a reasonable price, and we stumbled upon this excellent little restaurant with the unassuming name of O P'tit Encas. Trusting the glowing Google reviews about the quality of the food and the various dishes on offer, we were served generous portions of delicious mussels and fries! The staff is very friendly, but as the establishment is small, we highly recommend booking a table in advance rather than showing up unannounced like hungry "tourists." 😅 We had to reserve a table and come back half an hour later, but it wasn't a problem as we waited peacefully on a bench facing the sea and a sunny view, located on a street behind the restaurant, in a small square, less than 5 minutes away (Bas Sablons beach). Excellent value for money! We highly recommend you eat there; you won't be disappointed!

We had a wonderful lunch today! The service was excellent, we were served very quickly. The mussels and fries were delicious!!! And the burgers were great too! Excellent value for money!! Don't hesitate!

The restaurant is as good as it is friendly. The prices are reasonable considering how delicious the food was. I recommend the Chat-Malo beer.

Excellent little place, popped in before getting on the ferry. The moules and frites were the best I've had anywhere. Will definitely visit again.
