It had been a very long time since I'd tasted the pastries from La Maison Cassée, and I must admit that the products are excellent. Congratulations to the pastry chefs who master this light and flavorful croissant, and this apple turnover where the puff pastry remains the centerpiece...it's very difficult to find the equivalent among competitors. Thank you.

We had some really, really good sorbets (blackcurrant and passion fruit) and some excellent pastries! (The orange pastries are made with fresh apricots). The cakes are of a very high standard. Everything is made with quality ingredients. We will definitely return to this pastry shop!

The cakes, breads, chocolates, and pastries are truly excellent. A constantly evolving selection, sometimes featuring daring recipes. Definitely worth a try if you're ever in the area 🥰

A flawless experience for our wedding! We chose Maison Frédéric Cassel for our wedding dessert, and it was perfect. The dessert was absolutely delicious and delighted all our guests. A huge thank you!

A very good pastry shop in the city center. The cakes are delicate and beautifully decorated, despite their price (€7-8 per cake). The flavors are well-crafted, but there's a slight lack of variety. The service was very inefficient, even though the shop was empty.

The Frédéric Cassel Fontainebleau branch is proposing a great variety of viennoiseries. I am not a cake client so I comment only for this range. Unfortunately, the sizes of some articles might vary from one day to the next. For example, a croissant 🥐 or a pain suisse which is large enough one day might become almost half on size the next day. I have been there tens of times throughout the years so this lack of consistency is unfortunately something regular. I questioned once the salesman about it too. What's more the prices are even higher than the bakery of a 🌟 Japanese chief called L'A Patisserie located on the high street towards INSEAD. Coming to the very high prices at Frédéric Cassel so the question is, do they worth really? Example, a pain suisse is offered in August 2026 at 3.80 euros at Cassel, 2.80 euros at L'A and only 1,80 euros at Dardonville. Everyone looking for HQ and not fake defrosted industrial cakes and industrial viennoiseries must compare the quality and prices applied by the Dardonville, the L'A Patisserie and the Frédéric Cassel and decide after. These three are the best bakeries in Fontainebleau.

Excellent place. Very well stocked. It's my diabetic ex's favorite pastry shop. But I don't think it's his fault.

A lovely shop with chocolates, pastries, viennoiseries, frozen desserts, and a catering section. We had a lemon tartlet and a raspberry trompe l'oeil. Beautifully presented, as delicious as they were pretty, and not too sweet. The sales assistants were pleasant. One of them took the time to answer my questions (I have a few food allergies). In short, I will gladly return.

I would have given it 5 stars with nothing but praise 10 years ago… The shop is very beautiful, very well located! An institution in freefall, and the service is largely to blame. The sales assistants seemed completely out of sorts; I had the distinct impression I was bothering them by having to serve me, and this happened several times. It's unfortunately nothing like it used to be. The flan portions have also shrunk by half, especially in thickness, and the pastry is no longer as crisp as it used to be. I have no problem paying the high price, but the welcome should at least be cordial and enthusiastic. I imagine recruitment must be extremely difficult…
