The restaurant was packed during this Ascension Day weekend in 2026. The prices were excessive for what was decent quality, but it didn't justify €5 for a simple bottled juice, €3 for an espresso, €6 for a glass of local white wine, €24 for a burger (even a well-prepared one with real fries), €23 for a pasta dish, €25 for a simple grilled octopus dish... in short, a hefty bill (and without dessert) for almost €100 for three courses with three drinks and two coffees, and a rushed waiter! It's a shame, because the decor is nice.

Nice establishment, pleasant terrace, and a warm welcome.
The waffles were very average and cold.
The recipe needs improvement. The caramel was too bitter and rather artificial, as was the whipped cream.
The pastries are therefore the better choice.

The welcome was perfect and friendly. However, I was disappointed by the very dry cookie. The whipped cream was just okay. I'm really sad that they no longer offer the pastries they used to have, especially the raisin bread, which was wonderful.

Having lived in Cap Ferret since childhood, I knew the old Frédélian well through my family, back when it was owned by the Michaud family and known for their delicious desserts.
Frédélian was then a benchmark in pastry making, offering a wide variety of cakes, admittedly expensive, but always excellent and remarkably flavorful.
I was disappointed by the current pastries, which are much more ordinary, although still just as expensive. A name isn't everything... However, the service this April was very quick, friendly, and cheerful.
