Patisserie Olivier Bourau sur Nuits-Saint-Georges

I can't say the cakes are bad, they are good. But we ordered 2 cakes for 2 birthdays, a strawberry cake and a chocolate crisp. Like I said, they're good, but nothing exceptional considering the prices. What really displeased me were the happy birthday messages on the cakes... Because in fact, they weren't on the cakes! They were on sheets of marzipan in separate boxes. The problem was that it was impossible to place it on the chocolate crisp since there was a wavy plate of chocolate on the cake... And for the strawberry cake, placing the plate on the cake with the strawberries underneath was unsuitable. .. It would have seemed much more logical to us to write happy birthday messages on the cakes... Given the reputation of this pastry, we might expect better... Too bad... We didn't see it before opening the boxes, otherwise we would have told you at the store. Think about it next time...
