Paul et Rimbaud sur Paris

Favorite meal I had in Paris, in fact this steak is the best I have had in my life so far- The steak au poivre is an absolute must! Cooked perfectly with a wonderful pepper sauce and nice thick fries. Apple tart was a great desert as well and the fish carpaccio with passion fruit was a light and refreshing. I recommend you to make a reservation as it was busy.

Phenomenal steak, perfectly cooked with the best peppercorn sauce. Different type of meal to L’Entrecôte but equally good. Super friendly staff. All round great experience.

I LOVE THE PAUL BERT BISTRO!!! I am certainly not objective when I talk about Bistrot Paul Bert. It's a place that I love for its noisy Parisian bistro atmosphere, for its permanent menu where classics of bistro cuisine collide, for the quality of the wine list, for the homemade fries, for the pepper sauce , and above all, ... above all, the Grand Marnier Soufflé which concludes each of my visits to these places. So yes, for the price it may not be the best or most original Parisian house, but I've been going there for years and for the moment I'm not disappointed and I always enjoy go back there.

Great address. I recommend it for an aperitif or even for a meal.

Leaving a review as we were so excited to visit this location — eager to enjoy a dinner of Steak Frites, we scoured reviewed and found Bistrot Paul Bert on every list. We read that, even though reservations could be made (only by phone), visitors had luck showing up when it opened. Unfortunately, there was no message/posting made on the website or other places that this restaurant was closed the night we visited because of a concert (we think) — we understand when there are scheduling conflicts, but making sure that it is noted on a site where potential guests may find the information would have been helpful. We will keep this on our list and look forward to returning (with a reservation) on a future trip.

My friend and I were walk in. We were lucky to be seated, although super busy for dinner. Amazing food!! We loved the steak and potato dish. For desserts, it was hard to pick just two. I will come back ! Most staff spoke English too.

Food was great - a really amazing cucumber & mint gazpacho, followed by a really tender piece of beef. Why three stars? We started off early (7.30pm) and our waitress was lovely - but as the place got fuller, service just totally & utterly collapsed. Not sure what happened to our previously lovely waitress but talk about Jekyll and Hyde. Anyway we waited an age for our plates to be cleared, then ages for menus for dessert, but in the end we just gave up as we couldn’t wait any more. Even then it took an eternity to get the bill and then again for the credit card machine to come. In two minds whether I’d go again - food was great but the collapse in service was just weird. 100% of those in tonight were Americans or Brits, zero French.

Quintessential French bistro with some of the best steak au poivre you'll ever have. Save room for the souffle dessert!

Best bistro in Paris, the pepper steak is just EXCEPTIONAL, well done.
