A real treat. The fish was excellent. The slightly rustic decor didn't detract from the quality of the experience at all. A must-try!

Really really good food - we had the 3 course set menu which was reasonably priced. Be prepared to watch the world go by over a long lunch and do not go anywhere else if you want authentic home cooked French food run by a family! Highly recommend!

The restaurant is not much older than the owners, giving it a somewhat old-fashioned feel. However, the host and hostess are extremely friendly and helpful, for example with explaining how to peel the large prawns in the 'salade de mer'. I would have preferred them cooked on my plate, but never mind. The salad itself was very tasty. We sat outside on the terrace, which had a bit more atmosphere than inside. The young man helping to serve on the terrace was told to look a bit happier, and the owner was right.

First time here and honestly, I wasn't disappointed. The mussels were excellent, and the sirloin steak was perfect for my son, who is usually very picky. He didn't leave a single bite on his plate! I highly recommend it.

Really great classic food. We went with Gourmand menu for a mix of delicious seafood and red (pink) meat all very nicely cooked and presented. Deserts were also classic and delicious. Outside tables recommended to enjoy the ambiance.

17/04/2026: A very warm welcome, the waiter was incredibly kind, as was the owner. My wife, children, and I had a wonderful meal at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it.

Restaurant De La Haute Ville

21/08/2026: Everything you could hope for. The food was spectacular, delicate and amazing flavours, beautiful presentation. Service was attentive without being intrusive. And great wine choices, including really good half bottles if you don’t want to go overboard. Menu choices were a little over complicated with multiple fixed price menus, but they do represent good value. In the end we went à la carte as although the choices, strangely, were more limited, it included the combination we wanted (grilled crevettes for starters, sole meunière for mains). Thoroughly recommended.
