PIZZA ONA sur Saint-Jean-Pied-De-Port

This small pizza shop is one of the few things you will find open in this area this time of year on a Sunday evening. Pretty much takeaway for us - pretty small inside. The shop focused on pizza - they have several styles from the local basque, traditional and then pizzas from around the world. They have a number of wines, soft drinks, and even a local cider in their cooler. We were unsure of French pizza BUT - fresh ingredients and a great deal of love make for great pizza, and that's what you find here. The lady running the shop is multilingual, quite the charmer, and she makes a good pizza too! We went with a local basque flavor to try some of that famous ham - good call. Would do again - definitely recommend.

The owner was incredibly friendly to me, since I didn't speak French. She recommended a fantastic pizza.

Great pizza at a sidewalk cafe near our hotel. The best part though, was meeting the vibrant soul that is Valarie! A supreme hostess and business owner, she ensured that my husband and I had everything we needed to enjoy our meal and was a lovely addition to our visit to SJPDP prior to walking the Camino. Love from Michigan!

Both pizzas were delicious, made with local ingredients. Excellent service. Highly recommended! <3
