Pizzeria de L'écluse sur Montgiscard

Arrived in Montgiscard on a boat this evening and popped over to the pizzeria to get two takeaway pizzas. They were clearly busy and I hadn’t pre-ordered but they kindly said they would have our pizzas ready in 30 mins. We had a Mexicaine and a Regina and I can honestly say they were some of the best pizzas we have ever tasted. Really thin bases and crusts with a huge amount of flavour. Thanks to the lovely couple who run this pizzeria - so impressed - hoping we might get to visit again on our way back up the canal!

An excellent village pizzeria! 🍕❤️ The pizzas are delicious, generous, and prepared with care. The pasta and everything else on the menu are just as good! The atmosphere is truly friendly and welcoming; you immediately feel right at home. A fantastic place where the food is excellent and the service is warm. A great place to stop for a simple but excellent meal at a very reasonable price. For boaters, it's located right in front of the Montgiscard mooring quay, ideal for a lunch break.

The ribeye steak wasn't bad, even if it wasn't French beef. The pasta, however, was just average. Homemade fries would have been a nice touch. The appetizer was insignificant. The dessert was average. The price is unbeatable for the portion size. It's not fine dining. Nevertheless, it's decent, and you don't feel ripped off when you leave.
