We were a bit stranded as there are no taxis in Saint Emilion so popped in for a meal. What a fabulous place! Staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. The pudding was so yummy- a smaller selection of all of them including crème brûlée and chocolate soufflé. But what makes this restaurant our favourite was after we had finished, the waiter very kindly offered to call us a taxi. Sadly the taxi would not give us such a short ride to the station so they gave us a lift in their delivery car! So so grateful for their kindness otherwise we would have been stranded in Saint Emilion!

La terrasse du restaurant est très agréable et offre une vue sur un beau lavoir fleuri. Le personnel est agréable. En revanche le foie gras n'est pas à la hauteur de Saint-Emilion ni de son prix.

C est notre 2ème experience à l Absolu : très bonne cuisine, accueil et service parfait, de bons vins abordables qu'on a énormément appréciés, une adresse que je conserve précieusement pour y revenir (on vient dans la région occasionnellement). Félicitations et continuez comme ça ! Merci Valérie et la nouvelle serveuse.

05/09/2024: We were in Saint Emilion for a wedding. When we arrived, we were greeted by Camille who was incredibly friendly, immediately took our bags and brought us to our room. Our room was quite large as was the bathroom. The room was comfortable, quiet, tastefully decorated and the A/C worked quite well. It’s located conveniently to all the sites and excellent restaurants. Breakfast was very good as well. There’s a terrace next door where you can sit and have wine.
