I've walked past this restaurant for years without ever going in.
I was invited to lunch today.
What a pleasant surprise!
A truly warm welcome.
A beautiful, inviting, and comfortable dining room.
Impeccable service (and in white shirts).
A varied menu and an excellent meal.
It's delicious, it's beautiful, and it's expertly prepared.
Coffee with a small madeleine—simple but so delightful.
I had lunch at a Restaurant with a capital R.

Where to begin!!! This being our first night in Paris we definitely picked a winner. From the starter to dessert and the cappuccino as the finisher we hit the jackpot pot. We knew we were in the perfect spot when the menu was hand written on an authentic chalk board with finesse. From the lamb dish to the sirloin steak our meals were nothing but fantastic. The waiter along with the bar mate were both attentive and so appreciative of us joining them for dinner.

Everything was perfect, impeccable service, retro-chic pub atmosphere. We tried the ravioli and the lemon tart—delicious!

What a fantastic place. The food, beer and wines were great. The staff were superb, attentive and really helpful explaining the dishes and the wines.
Would thoroughly recommend.
