The service and meal were excellent. We were served quickly, the waitress presented the dishes very well which highlighted them. The dishes were fine and refined, combining truly original flavors.
Only small regrets: the chef was unfortunately overwhelmed and was unable to provide one of the 3 desserts on the menu, the choice of wines was a little limited, and the bill was a little high at the end of the meal.

Creative dishes with quality ingredients
Very good service
The only bad thing that really tarnished our experience:
Windows were open on the street and we had to smell cigarette smoke.
Besides the sanitary issues of second hand smoking, cigarette smoke is just incompatible with a good dining experience. It's bad enough to deter us from going back on nice days.

It's extremely rare that I give 5 stars to a restaurant but this one really deserves them because it's worth the trip!
The recipes are very original. They surprise but always positively, their creation is exquisite: worthy of a starred restaurant, for the price of a small neighborhood restaurant. The service is perfect (the dishes are not only explained in great detail but also presented in great simplicity).
Such quality deserves a setting that better showcases it than this small premises on rue de la Roquette.
Unfortunately, I bet that given the quality of this place, it will soon no longer be possible to book less than a few weeks in advance...
Update May 2024: we spoke with the chef who has an excellent pedigree and was trained with the greatest chefs, which explains the quality of the dishes served!
September 2024 update: We tested the new map in preview. Always so delicious and surprising. The kitchen/dining team is always so adorable and efficient.

One of our favorite restaurants in the neighborhood! We have come several times several months apart and have never been disappointed. The menu evolves with the seasons and the dishes are sought-after and excellent. There is always a vegetarian option which is very nice for us. Impeccable and friendly service. A good price-performance ratio. We recommend with your eyes closed!

I have visited first in May and then again in July and still highly recommend it.
The dishes are great - they have few options and the Chef's signature starter is absolutely worth it.
We actually even met the chef.
This is so far the best place I have been in the 11th for french fare.

I had a favorite culinary moment today, so allow me to be long, spread out and tell you the story of my trip.
First of all, there is one star missing from the five that we can give here. it certainly lacks the Michelin star!
am I exaggerating? let's see that!
Get in the mood.
the weather is magnificent, the streets are almost empty in this quiet neighborhood (match time). the restaurant called to us with its facade completely open onto the terrace. you would then want to take a break from your walk, a table inviting you to take a moment of rest and perhaps eat something. I was still in those first seconds of hesitation where you wonder if you aren't better off elsewhere. when a graceful form wearing her most beautiful smile served two dishes on the table next to it. the colors, the aesthetic research and that beautiful smile ended up pinning me to my chair and asking for the menu. my curious eyes moved from this sober menu to the insolent plates of beauty next to it, then back to the menu. I asked for details of the entry I had chosen. the beautiful smile then transformed into a fountain of knowledge from which I drank all the words. my mind was conquered. remain the taste buds.
my runny egg arrived while I was enjoying my Pic Saint loup.
I will be unable to tell you again the parchment of who composed the recipe for this egg resting delicately in its bath of beetroot in "Emulsion". but I am completely capable of describing to you the thrill that ran through my palate when the egg, freed from its black coat, tenderly sank into this bath and enhanced the taste!
When I came back to my senses, I discovered my empty saucer, and my finger coming out of my mouth after having placed the last swig on it, licking it from its tip.
the piece of meat from my dish did not take long to follow. I honestly don't remember the name of the dish or the beautiful verbiage of the sweet smile describing it with great love. but I could redraw for you the picture of flavor that he painted in my mouth when I took the first bite! perfect cooking. perfect of perfection. the word is intended. the velvety texture of this sauce, the incredible marriage of paprika and strawberry. And me, and me who consumes it! no need to describe the orgasm that followed...
I tried to take nice photos of my dish and that of my cousin. They captured the aesthetic of my trip well, but for the taste, you'll have to make the trip yourself.
