Definitely the best Portuguese restaurant and takeaway in the area

From the moment you enter, you feel like you're in Portugal with its pleasant setting, excellent cuisine, and attentive staff.

Rei Galo is a fantastic place, with a family atmosphere that's becoming increasingly rare. You feel comfortable and welcome, and that makes all the difference. I saw that they're going to close two evenings a week, and honestly, it doesn't change the fact that I'll still be coming on the other days. A restaurant isn't just about opening hours and profitability: it's also about the people behind it, a family, a team that deserves to take a break and find a balance. I much prefer an establishment that chooses to preserve its family spirit and quality, rather than pushing the boundaries to make more and more money. It's simply an adaptation, like many are making these days. In short, Rei Galo remains a very good, genuine, and welcoming place, and I will continue to support them without hesitation.

I love Reigalo But they hardly offer takeout in the evenings anymore What a shame

Why close on weekday evenings? The establishment is losing its quick/convenient aspect... I'm about to sign a petition.

A fantastic meal, with a special mention for the francesinha which was excellent, probably better than the one I had in Portugal back then. The price is reasonable for the portion size.

We had a wonderful time, the food was excellent too! I was transported back to my beloved Portugal and I thank them for that; the staff were very pleasant! We highly recommend it!!!

Excellent food overall (takeaway) but one star less for the bacalhau because, 3 portions of bacalhau, 3 times it was bacalhau tails… a bit much… but otherwise, succulent for the rest.

The best Portuguese chicken in all of Clermont. Just like back home. 👍
