Beautiful waterfalls, especially at this time of year. For the more adventurous, it's possible to hike up to the stunning Lake Gaube (moderate difficulty hike), or take the gondola and chairlift. This lake is definitely worth the trip.

From the car park at Pont D'Espanja, the reward you receive after a strenuous hike to Lake Lac de Gaube is overwhelming and very much worth the effort.

Great hike, went all the way to the refuge, about 11 miles out and back total. Got absolutely roasted in the sun, should have brought sunscreen and more protective clothing. The views were fantastic and we enjoyed seeing a lot of the snow on the upper part of the hike, for reference we went on May 22. Had to hike through the snow for a bit but it wasn’t that bad. €8 to park which is annoying but it do be that way sometime.

Very pretty and easily accessible. It's magnificent to see the lovely waterfall just after the Spanish Bridge, opposite the restaurant. Listen to the sound of the water cascading over the large stone boulders. It's definitely worth a visit. You can continue on and hike up to the lake. Ideal for those who enjoy walking. Paid parking. Restrooms on site.

A magnificent hike, it's a shame it was raining, but we were delighted by the beautiful waterfalls. Definitely worth doing.

23/05/2026: Excellent restaurant, we ate very well. Even though it was very busy that evening, we were very well received and served within a reasonable timeframe.
13/05/2026: The welcome and service were impeccable, we ate a very good fondue in May and had a very good time!
