A solid lower-cost, unpretentious option with all the amenities and basic things you would need to support a great ski trip in Chamonix. The bus stops steps from the hotel taking you to all the surrounding ski resorts and downtown chamonix for transfer to the airport or the bus to Italy, Valle Blanche, etc. The staff are great and make sure you have everything you need, and are willing to keep your ski bags, boots, gear, etc stored in the boot room downstairs while you wait for your next travel plans. There is WiFi that works well from the room and from the lounge downstairs if you need to hop on work calls and get work done. I had no connection issues. Les Praz is a good location (and closer) to the resorts up the valley such as Le Flegere, Grands Montets, and Le Tour. 20 minute walk to downtown Chamonix on a lovely river-side path.

We came to eat after skiing. We had a wonderful culinary discovery and the food was delicious. The portions were generous and beautifully presented. The chef listened carefully to our requests; thank you to him.

We came for an event and had a fantastic time. Patrick and his wife gave us a superb welcome, thank you!

Unfortunately the prices charged for the weekend of September 19th to 22nd were not up to the standard of the service for identical prices in other establishments in Chamonix already known and frequented (unfortunately full and for good reason). The room, very clean indeed, had no "amenities" not even coat racks, no hooks in the bathroom, a tiny crumbled soap in paper packaging (like in the 2* near the train station in the big cities). Tiny cupboards. For breakfast I have known better. The first evening for reasons of convenience we had reserved at the restaurant and wanted bread with our meal.... We had to wait half an hour for it to defrost... Our meal was finished. When we asked for "pepper" we were given a piece of paper since French is not spoken in a French establishment and neither is English.... Honestly, I have already visited about ten different establishments in Chamonix (depending on availability, due to my last-minute decisions) and this was the only one still available on that date. Frankly disappointed: 706 euros for 2 for 3 nights 🫣...
