A DELIGHT!
A delight for the taste buds!
Finally, a Michelin-starred restaurant that truly deserves its star.
First, the valet immediately sets the tone: a smile, elegance, and patience.
Then, the welcome: smiles from everyone present.
We are shown to our table, reserved the day before and confirmed that very morning with a credit card authorization.
On the covered terrace, our two are seated side-by-side, facing the bay window. Although our backs were to the wall, we had a panoramic view of St. Paul de Vence to the left, and a little further to the right, five hills and four glimpses of the sea. Even without sunshine: Magnificent.
The decor: rustic yet modern.
We are immediately offered chilled champagne, followed by amuse-bouches. Delicious.
The head waiter and the servers are all smiling, friendly, and attentive.
The menus and wine lists are explained to us. Yes, it's expensive, that's true.
But the value for money is excellent.
Starters, main courses, desserts—all presented with an appetizing flair and exquisite refinement.
The luxury and customer service of yesteryear, the French way...
It's wonderful.
And everything else was equally delightful.
Even the adorable wire-haired dachshund, the resident dog, made an appearance and was adopted by everyone.
The waiters were attentive yet discreet.
It's important to mention everything when the experience is so enjoyable.
