Restaurant Aux ducs de bourbon sur Montlucon

A very fine establishment, both the restaurant and the brasserie. The dishes are excellent, varied, and generous. The service is impeccable and prompt, even when the dining room is full. Among the must-try dishes are the pata negra pork, the andouillette sausage, the various hamburgers, the diverse daily specials, and the splendid profiteroles.

Excellent hotel, clean, superbly located, and impeccably clean.

I stayed for two nights last week on an overnight package: dinner, bed, and breakfast. I had an accessible room, which was quite large, but when you shower, you get water everywhere because there's no shower screen or tray. At night, the hallway light stays on, and the light shines under the door, so I had to use a towel to block it (see photos). As for the restaurants, I tried both the fine dining option and the bistro. There was no difference, except for the price. I also ate very well at the bistro. The waiter was friendly. Breakfast was fine, with fresh pastries and plenty of space. When booking, ask beforehand if you mind having an accessible room. There's a paid parking lot in front of the hotel during the day; the adjacent streets are free, but you have to find a spot. Other than that, I had a good stay.

4 stars because breakfast is quite expensive for the limited selection. (We were there at the end of service, so perhaps that explains it.)

I only dined at the restaurant. The setting, service, and menus were impeccable and delicious. Quite frankly, it's top-notch, even exceptional. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and there were nine of us. Everyone was impressed and extremely satisfied. A place I wholeheartedly recommend in the area. Thank you to the entire team; they were incredibly professional.
