Restaurant Café De France sur Beaune

What a deal! The food is good local food, and the portions are huge. We enjoyed everything. I could have stopped after the salad and been very pleased. We enjoyed beef burgundy with potatoes. The cheese platter was mind blowing, and they even brought dessert. It was a great experience.

Six of us ate lunch there on a Monday, and we were all blown away at how well we ate for the price. First course was a humongous salad with lettuce, tomatoes, eggs, a couple varieties of meats, cheese and walnuts with a delicious dressing. Main course was roasted chicken with peas, dessert was a selection of fine cheeses. We had a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine and water. We left feeling quite satisfied and pleased at the price of only 27 euros each. An excellent lunch stop!

Very good experience, it reminds me of the very French and Franchouillard restaurant before. This one is worth trying if you want to know the good little restaurants of yesteryear.

What a fantastic, authentic, local French restaurant. Open on weekdays and for lunch only. Home cooked and frequented by locals. Highly recommended.

Only one dish of the day on the menu but well cooked and very good. For €17 a meal: starter, main course, dessert. Nothing to say, I recommend.

Nearly two years ago, while passing through Beaune, my wife and I had a completely impromptu lunch at the Café de France. Once again we have just passed through Beaune and this time we stopped at the Café de France with full knowledge and confidence because the food is wonderful there at a very reasonable price. I particularly recommend the beef bourguignon that Madame prepared especially for us (I had reserved); it’s a pure joy to taste it. The meal is copious, even really very copious. Everything is good and done with delicacy. At the Café de France we feel good, we feel at home, we eat there simply but with impeccable quality products. I really recommend this place. We never say “two without three” so for sure, during our next visit to Beaune this is where we will go for lunch. Thank you Madam and Mr. "bosses" for your welcome, your simplicity and your delicious dishes.
