We were expecting something different somehow 😢 The food was okay, very hearty and heavy. The appetizer with various vegetables and goat cheese cream tasted good, but unfortunately it was much too cold in the center, while the main course with meat was only lukewarm. A shame.

A fantastic, unpretentious spot in Beaune. You immediately feel at home with a warm welcome, a concise menu featuring fresh, local, and seasonal produce expertly prepared by experienced and very friendly chefs. Highly recommended!

We’ve been in France for several days now, mainly in Paris, and this was our first meal in Beaune. I have to say, it was the best meal we’ve had in France so far!
My husband ordered the poached eggs and beef bourguignon from the prix fixe menu, while I went with the monkfish. Every dish was exceptional, and the cheeses were fantastic as well. The service was warm and friendly, and the ambiance was wonderful. Such a great introduction to Beaune!

Good Burgundian dishes, but rather expensive considering the quality and quantity of the portions. The decor is rather basic. The service is too informal for an establishment that aims for a certain level of prestige.

First of all, the staff are incredibly friendly even though it's busy. I came here on the hotel's recommendation, and the food is so delicious. I think Koreans would love it too, lol. The wine selection is the best; let it open up a little before drinking. You really won't regret it.

Lovely food and staff. We have the menu of the day, pumpkin cream with smoked trout, pork cooked in beer and salmon with a creamy sauce, to finish with creme de cassis parfait with blackcurrant, delicious!

Excellent meal, typical of Burgundy.
The eggs meurette were to die for.
The beef bourguignon was incredibly generous, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sauce was divine.
The waitstaff was extremely pleasant. The chef shared his passion for local produce with a tour of his kitchen. Nothing to hide…
The dessert was almost worthy of three stars.
The restrooms were small but clean.
A truly wonderful experience! Listed in the Rough Guide. Well worth the detour.
