The only Bouchon restaurant that accepted me at the last minute for lunch. a grateful restaurant What I ordered was fish cake, and it was nice to have a spoonful of hot fish cake when it was chilly. The server was a handsome French young man, and he apologized again for not speaking English.

Home cooking with an expanded Bouchon Lyonnais menu. Cervelle des canuts top, andouillette prepared with care. Excellent attentive service despite late arrival.

Home made everything is home made and local. Traffic jam atmosphere. Authentic and tasty cuisine. Extremely slow end of service but it's Easter weekend.

I tested around ten Lyonnais corks in different neighborhoods, and finally it was in this Café du Soleil that I found the best pike dumplings!! They are perfect, their texture and cooking are unbeatable, the sauce is tasty and stays on the palate for a long time, the accompaniment is simple but perfectly measured with impeccable cooking. And above all the price is much more affordable than in most corks (still count 35€/head for a meal and a dessert with a glass of wine). The service was efficient, good advice and friendly. The wine list is ok (not quite up to par with the cuisine though) and this decor... we will remember it for a long time!! friendly atmosphere !

29/03/2024: Five years on and still remember this place as a great experience. Don't expect a five star restaurant - there's not much service and certainly little ceremony. But something even better and more rare imo - fresh-cooked food using traditional, simple menus at a very affordable price. What I remember above all was regretting being too full to sample more. Best go early and with a good, easy going group. 👌
