Restaurant Caveau du Chatelet sur Wissembourg

Yesterday we ate again at the 'Caveau du Châtelet' and recommend this restaurant unconditionally. We have never been disappointed, the atmosphere is very nice, there is a parking space almost in front of the door, the food and service are excellent. Even if vegetarian dishes are not on the small, seasonally changing menu, the guest's wishes are met and a new dish is created on the fly, as happened last year with the Easter menu. A reservation is definitely recommended, they speak excellent German on the phone and in the restaurant, and like every Frenchman they are happy to receive a bonjour, bonsoir, s'il vous plaît and merci.

We celebrated our son's baptism at the Caveau du Châtelet with around twenty guests. The meal and service were excellent. The restaurant is located right next to the historic city center yet quiet. The children loved the beautiful garden. We had a wonderful afternoon. Thanks to the whole team!

Sehr gutes Essen, von Vorspeise bis Nachspeise war alles perfekt. Fleisch und Fisch waren auf den Punkt gebraten. Alle 7 Hauptgerichte waren sehr heiß und kamen gleichzeitig an. Auch der Service war einwandfrei!

We went there twice during our vacation and were thrilled each time. Idyllic location. Very friendly and attentive service, also German speaking. The food was super tasty, price/performance was right. We would be happy to come back at the next opportunity. Reservations in the evening are definitely recommended as they are usually fully booked.

We loved our 3+ hour stay - great restaurant! The menu is very clear, but there are also dishes that are not on the menu. There is actually something for every taste. This is complemented by excellent wines from neighboring Cleebourg and other French growing regions. The great service should not go unmentioned. In any case, we will visit this restaurant again.
