"Chez Hortense" is a French restaurant located in Lège-Cap-Ferret. The quality of the food and service exceeded expectations, especially considering the value for money.

The food is the highlight of this establishment. Sublime mussels, grilled wild fish, and eggplant caviar—everything is exceptionally good. The clientele is upscale: captains of industry, presidents of major parties, TV and film stars. No long dresses here, but rather Ferret-Capian shorts from Jacob & Jacob.
And you can dine while watching the boats tacking endlessly across the Dune as the sun sets.

We received a very warm welcome throughout our visit to the restaurant. Everyone was very attentive, and kudos to the team of young servers. As for the food, the highlight was the fish. Beautiful, fresh fish, perfectly cooked, and ideal for sharing. The portions were generous, and it all came with excellent fries. I highly recommend it.

Impeccable service. Very high-quality ingredients. It's simple cuisine, but perfectly executed. The lobster is divine... As for the prices, you're in Cap Ferret, right on the tip with a view of the bay. It's literally not outrageous compared to other bistros in the area. It's excellent value for money.
And for those complaining about the price, you shouldn't go to Cap Ferret if you think a €19 menu is the height of luxury... especially since the prices are displayed at the entrance and it didn't stop you from going in, lol!
