Excellent family-run restaurant! The staff is very friendly and the service efficient. You immediately feel the welcoming atmosphere. The dishes are homemade, with a special mention for the very fresh oysters. The homemade desserts perfectly complement the meal. A wonderful discovery, I highly recommend it!

A restaurant with traditional decor, homemade cuisine, and perfectly prepared fish. The staff is welcoming, smiling, and attentive despite a busy schedule – well done! I highly recommend this place with its view of the bay and the dune.

Must try restaurant in Cap Ferret ! We were craving oysters and we were not disappointed ! Their seafood was stunningly fresh. Their mussels were our favourite dish as they were so well seasoned + the flavourful fries that come with it ! Bonus for the beautiful view and amazing service we had ✨

Excellent welcome, impeccable service, exceptional view, cleanliness, and surroundings. Lunch today with a reservation made four days prior... for three people to celebrate three birthdays... I had specified that I wanted to be seated on the seafront. Arriving at 12:10 PM, I noticed that the restaurant and its terrace were far from full, including the front rows. When we left at 1:45 pm, there were still front rows available... As a result, we ended up with a table in the middle of the terrace, surrounded by a group of noisy toddlers in high chairs, who were themselves seated in the front row... at tables of similar size and cutlery... The price-quality ratio is simply not justified (mussels and fries - signature dish - €32! They were very greasy and lacked flavor, and as for the "homemade" fries, I still doubt it; I can find the same ready-to-cook ones at Metro... but perhaps it's the cooking that's homemade!). The red mullet fillets were rather sad and tasteless (€33), and the "gourmet coffees" at €13 are the kind you can get in a standard restaurant (more like a cafeteria). In short, a place with an overrated reputation, reserved for Parisian "celebrities" with no discerning palate and more interested in being seen. I don't usually write negative reviews (even partially), but unfortunately, upon our departure, there was no "goodbye" nor a question about whether we were satisfied. I would have shared these comments verbally!

The prices are high for dishes that are too simple and not at all well-prepared; it's a shame, the view is nice 👍

I've been coming here for several years and I've always been satisfied. The dishes are excellent and generous. The service is top-notch, and what can I say about the view! You never tire of it.

It's always a pleasure when we come to Cap Ferret, since we live in Guadeloupe, to have lunch at Hortense's and see Bernadette and the whole family again. We had a wonderful time in September and enjoyed a very good meal. Well done, keep it up!
