Without any prior arrangement, we discovered this little restaurant thanks to our son. A wonderful find! A small, unassuming restaurant, but as soon as you step inside, you receive a very warm welcome from a friendly owner and generous, delicious dishes. Everyone who enters greets you with "hello" and wishes you a pleasant meal; the atmosphere is family-run, which is so refreshing these days. Please don't change a thing. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for everything.

The owner is an extraordinary person with a wonderful sense of welcome, hospitality, and kindness. The value for money is excellent, and the restaurant is quite peaceful. A big thank you to the owner for this meal; this restaurant is very underrated.

Great restaurant, small but very welcoming, quiet, and delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly! The manager was very kind and welcoming. I highly recommend it if you want a very tasty, generous, and inexpensive meal :)

We stumbled upon this place and had a truly wonderful time. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, and very attentive to his customers. The food is simple but all the more delicious for it—a real treat for the taste buds. I highly recommend this restaurant. I'll definitely be back! 😉

Great find! The place doesn't look like much, but you have to go in to have a good time. The beef tartare is excellent! We'll be back to try the rest of the menu.

Le Comptoir du Pioch

21/08/2026: A very warm welcome as usual, and the same goes for the meal.
19/08/2026: A fantastic spot in Castelnau-le-Lez where I often go with my colleagues. Le Comptoir du Pioch never disappoints! On our last visit, we shared a delicious, perfectly cooked asparagus risotto and incredibly tender braised pork cheek, served with flavorful gnocchi. We finished off this wonderful meal with excellent coffees. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the fresh, prepared food. The service is efficient, ideal for a lunch break. In short, it's delicious, I highly recommend it!
