Restaurant Gil sur Carcassonne

Very pleasant cozy restaurant, very pleasant welcome from the owner, very generous and tasty dishes, what's more, the kitchen is open to the room, and we see the owner at the bakery preparing the dishes we ordered, that and the smells of cooking, it's very mouth-watering. Absolutely recommended!!!

The chef and his staff are very nice. The food is good and you get generous portions of fish. This is truly an experience in terms of food. It's also good to be more concerned with your food than with other things. You eat this with attention and enjoy the delicious fresh fish. I highly recommend it!

You wouldn't believe when you turn into the street that you'll find such a great restaurant! Wonderfully prepared fish and seafood dishes...better make a reservation...and definitely eat there!

An unassuming entrance takes you down stairs to a cellar restaurant. Resist the temptation to run away at the slightly 70s decor. Your perseverance will be amply rewarded. Sit down and enjoy. I loved that the chef personally comes to your table to take your order. Others sort the drinks and do the deliveries to the table. But the chef wants to understand exactly your preferences. We had mussels with razor clams; the fish soup (don’t miss out on this) and then to follow: monkfish wrapped in prosciutto and sole. All cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. The house wine is worth a try and they have a pretty good cellar of bottled choices.

Acueil tres sympathique, patron convivial et à l’écoute du client, plats de poissons variés et surtout excellents, cuisson parfaite, fraîcheur assurée et prix somme toute raisonnables. Nous recommandons ce restaurant sans reserve, même si vu de l’extérieur il faut un peu se forcer.
