The bread was a bit hard. The sauce was a bit mealy, but otherwise, the food was excellent and the service was good.

Very warm welcome, delicious homemade local dishes!

We went to this winstub to eat authentic sauerkraut and we weren't disappointed. On the contrary, we thoroughly enjoyed it. As for the service, the welcome was very pleasant and the staff were incredibly attentive. Regarding the atmosphere, and I want to emphasize that the owners of the winstub are in no way responsible, some customers, clearly acting as if they own the place, and with very little manners, were watching videos on their phones right behind us, blasting the sound so everyone could hear. Furthermore, these people felt entitled to loudly criticize the tourists who were there for the Christmas market. This won't stop us from going back, hoping not to encounter such rude individuals again.

Good typical Alsatian dish, well served, I recommend this great place

We were there on a Thursday, right at 7 p.m., and got a seat without a reservation. The restaurant is located a bit away from the old town, so not exactly in the tourist heart. The place is quaint, and you can smell the old wood. The host is very accommodating and (child-)friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food. The cordon bleu and veal goulash (?) were delicious, and the fries were outstanding and probably homemade. Definitely worth a visit.
