We came as a couple and frankly, we had a very good meal. The maki, gyoza, shrimp dumplings, fried rice... were excellent. I highly recommend it.

My second visit in six days confirmed the excellent impression I had had on my first visit at the end of September. The food is impeccable, the service is fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing.

03/03/2026: It's not bad, nothing exceptional (which isn't a problem), nice for a classic udon experience. Note that the tables are very close together and it's quite noisy.
03/03/2026: All the staff are Japanese, and it truly feels like stepping into Japan as soon as you enter the restaurant. I ordered the tempura udon with two prawns and egg on top, and it was really good. The udon noodles had a nice chewy texture, and the soup wasn’t too strong in flavour — it was light, smooth, and paired perfectly with the noodles. I also had a draft beer, which was fresh and nicely carbonated, making the meal even more relaxing. However, I wasn’t quite sure why the freshly fried tempura prawns were served directly on top of the soup udon instead of on a separate plate. The batter quickly soaked up the soup, so the texture wasn’t as crispy as I expected. I would have preferred the tempura to stay crunchy on the outside. There aren’t many seats available. If you sit at the bar counter, you can watch the chefs prepare the food right in front of you, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a great place for authentic Japanese udon in a cosy and lively setting.
