Restaurant la Bougie sur Villard-De-Lans

Excellent hotel, ideally located in the center of Villard-de-Lans. Unbeatable value for money; we were on half-board and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Dinner was fabulous and breakfast was very complete. The only slight drawback is the parking, which isn't easy. The manager and his wife are exceptionally kind and helpful. We will definitely be back. The rooms are very nice.

Exceptional! Everything was fantastic: the duck breast cooked to perfection (not to mention the honey sauce, kudos to the chef!), the fondue, the wonderfully warm decor, etc. Go there, you won't be disappointed by the service or the quality! A huge congratulations!

Last night in Villars...we arrived on Sunday and have already been to 4 restaurants where everything was good...tonight was perfect because we ate very well, and we received a more than warm welcome. The owner, with his charming accent, is worth the trip ❤️ I highly recommend it and give Chouwi a cuddle 🥰

I absolutely loved the Hôtel du Centre in Villard-de-Lans. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with incredible warmth and kindness. The managers are lovely, attentive, always available, and do everything to make us feel comfortable. We truly felt like we were being welcomed into a friend's home, not just a hotel. The hotel is ideally located right in the heart of the village, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. We left with a smile, the desire to return, and that rare feeling of having been genuinely pampered. A truly wonderful place that I wholeheartedly recommend. Thank you again for your smiles and kindness.

Excellent place! We arrived late, at the end of lunch service, a family of five adults with a dog and a baby in a stroller, and the welcome was simply perfect. Genuine kindness, delicious food with exceptional value for money, and a lovely manager. We felt truly welcome, thank you so much!

The new owners are very welcoming. Nice Christmas decorations in the entrance. The room is a bit dated but impeccably clean, apart from some pillows as flat as banknotes and the shower head covered in limescale 🥺🙄. The floorboards still creak, but that's to be expected... Great stay, we'll be back as we do every year...

The new managers gave us a very warm welcome. The bed and breakfast package offered good value for money. The location is excellent, just steps from the town center. The only slight disappointment was the evening meal, which didn't quite live up to our expectations. A more rustic, mountain-style meal, as mentioned in our initial booking, would have been appreciated. We were served a cream of mushroom soup, chicken supreme, and lemon tart for €27.

Good value for money, the owners are really friendly, breakfast was excellent, only slight disappointment with the food – I would have liked a tartiflette considering the location. Otherwise, yes, I recommend it.

We decided to leave for a weekend on a Saturday at 3 pm. Originally, we only had a room for three, but they were very accommodating and arranged for us to have four beds. The room was a bit dated, but perfectly adequate, with clean, good-quality bedding and a clean bathroom. The highlight was the warm welcome and the well-served and enjoyable breakfast. A big thank you to the managers for making our weekend getaway so special.
