For the past three years, we've eaten at La Metzig every time we visit Molsheim, and we're never disappointed. We especially love the cordon bleu à la maréchal, but every dish we've tried has been excellent.

We opted for homemade foie gras as a starter: excellent!!! Then veal escalopes with cream and mushrooms: a very good sauce, a good, superior side dish. However, the escalope was too small for the price, and the meat was tough, probably not from a cut of meat intended for this purpose. Chocolate profiteroles: two large profiteroles, but too dry and too hard, chocolate sauce, not melted chocolate, and above all, the proportion of custard to the chocolate was too high. However, the wine was excellent. Pleasant and friendly service.

07/02/2026: Everything was perfect, I think we ate the best tarte flambée in Alsace!!! Hot and with no long wait between each one. The staff was very friendly. We will be back.
06/02/2026: We love this authentic restaurant. They don’t have a big menu but everything is fresh and delicious. We had Tartes Flambées and Bouchées à la Reine which were yummy. My husband picked a traditional meal called Backhoffen. It was fantastic; I ended up eating half of his meal. This quaint little place became one of our favorite places.

31/01/2026: Hello, I'm very disappointed with the quality of this supposedly 4-star hotel. I'm still trying to figure out where the stars are hidden. Anyway, no complaints about the staff, but having stayed in other 4-star hotels in Alsace, I'm disappointed. The bed creaks when you turn over (I won't go into details), the shower head wobbles, and the hot water takes 5 minutes to arrive. As for breakfast, for a 4-star hotel, nothing is homemade, not even orange juice. In short, when I book a 4-star hotel, it's not to get the conditions of a chain hotel.
27/01/2026: Thank you for the goodwill gesture and room change following the mold problem in the previous room; and let's not forget the outrageous prices displayed on the room door (800 euros!!!)
