Restaurant Le 36 sur Amboise

The setting is idyllic for lunch alone. The setting inside the establishment is prestigious, as are the welcome and the service. As for meals: special mention to the Macaron which was delicious!

Whatever the season, it's always a real pleasure to get together at 36! Thanks to the Chef and his entire brigade, we recommend without hesitation.

Welcome, service, presentation and flavors of dishes of very good gastronomic quality. We had a great time outside in a pleasant green setting, accompanied by a glass of wine. Very well balanced food and wine pairing. Thanks to the entire team in the outdoor room and in the kitchen

Classic French fine dining at it's best. Colors, contrast and flavours were perfect and the service was great. I recommend the Prestige meny with wine pairing. And the view... Wow!

We had a nice dinner with friends in Le 36. The view on the river is lovely and service is excellent. The cuisine is slightly outdated though.

Lunch meal on a Sunday which was very appreciable with a view of the Loire. Excellent quality service and meals. The room is charming but lacks a little modernity but we come above all to eat well and that was the case. Beautiful presentation of the plates which are copious. Thank you for this pleasant moment. I'll be back. Go there with your eyes closed!

Wir hatten dieses Restaurant weit im Voraus reserviert. Wir waren gut gekleidet und deshalb erstaunt, dass man uns den schlechtesten Tisch im Raum - die Ambiance ist soweit ok - geben wollte. Auf Nachfrage bekamen wir dann einen besseren Tisch. Wir wurden das Gefühl nicht los, dass wir als externe Gäste wenig willkommen sind. Der Service entspricht insgesamt nicht der Preiskategorie des Restaurants. Der Umfang der Speisekarte ist adäquat und die Qualität des Essens stimmt, die Preise liegen aber am oberen Ende. Die Weinkarte ist umfangreich und bietet diverse Preislagen. Insgesamt waren wir enttäuscht.

very disappointed by the cuisine, we had reserved a menu for 89 euros for our golden wedding anniversary. When we arrived, the chosen menu had been changed and therefore imposed without us being informed beforehand. The dishes offered, as described, nevertheless seemed suitable to us. But what a disappointment in the kitchen, an irregularity of quality in the plates, in the cooking, a general lack of taste, tasteless. The products which were certainly of quality, were not highlighted in the taste, without salt, without aromatics, nothing was highlighted for the palate to appreciate what was on the plates. As for the children's menu to which we had asked to add a starter, it was irregular, one of the children had chosen Sea Bass, a little overcooked, and the other Chicken: very dry, the sauces added nothing because it is tasteless. and for children, putting paprika on a Gravlax salmon was not necessarily within the reach of the child, even if this starter was very good. The dessert (a strawberry) was delicious. The wines that we had chosen, of quality, but unfortunately for the white wines (a Montlouis, and a Vouvray) not fresh, lukewarm, not really highlighting them even though they were very good vintages. therefore lack of listening or adaptation. On the other hand, the service was impeccable, the butler charming, those who accompanied him, on the other hand, were unsure of themselves. A real disappointment overall.

The service was rough at times, three different waiters came to ask us what we wanted to drink to start with, and each time we asked for water, but the water was finally brought 20 minutes later, after we reminded ourselves for the fourth time that we were still waiting for water. We had to wait quite a while to place our order. After that, the service went smoothly.
