Restaurant Le Meysset sur Sarlat-La-Caneda

A truly wonderful experience at lunchtime at Le Meysset restaurant. The service was impeccable and attentive. The refined dishes were served on elegant and varied tableware. The food is worthy of a Michelin star, or at the very least, a Michelin-starred recommendation. I highly recommend it.

During a sweltering long weekend, there was no hot water in the room and the water pressure was practically nonexistent for rinsing my hair. Avoid room 211! Despite the known problem, no solution was offered. After two days, I asked to use another bathroom. I received no compensation.

The food was generally excellent, with a special mention for the Mother's Day menu. The service was smooth and friendly. However, we were not offered any assistance with the electric vehicle charging station (we had just purchased one and were experiencing connection issues).

We went for the tasting menu, which consisted of five courses. Each dish was beautifully presented, with a strong emphasis on aesthetics but somehow lacked in bold memorable flavors. The cuisine leans toward modern French, with some creative and slightly exotic touches. What really made the experience special, though, was the location. The restaurant is set on the hills above Sarlat, with a terrace overlooking the valley. The service, on the other hand, was a bit slow. It wasn’t unfriendly at all, just not as attentive or efficient as you might expect for this kind of dining experience.

An excellent restaurant in Sarlat! We had a wonderful time at Restaurant Meysset. The dishes are as beautiful as they are delicious: creative, refined cuisine with perfectly prepared ingredients and masterful flavor combinations. The service is impeccable and the setting very pleasant. A must-try that I highly recommend.

A very pleasant surprise for a last-minute dinner. The truffle-based tasting menu was beautifully presented and particularly generous for a fine dining establishment. We were charmed by the peaceful setting with its superb view. Thank you to Vincent for his stories about the wine and the house 😉 next time we won't come by chance!
