A wonderful discovery! Don't hesitate to come and enjoy a lovely meal at the Auberge du Refuge. Everything is excellent and homemade. The welcome is friendly and warm. At our request, we had dessert on the terrace to enjoy the setting. Great value for money. Beautiful decor. A short walk with a breathtaking view of the Guizay. Absolutely worth discovering. We will definitely be back. Thank you for everything.

Nestled at Croix de Guizay in Planfoy, Le Refuge is the perfect spot: a chalet-style setting with wood and stone, a fireplace, and a superb terrace with a magnificent view of Saint-Étienne (even more beautiful at night!). The cuisine is meticulously prepared traditional fare, using fresh, local produce, incredible potato pancakes, aged meats, sharing platters, and mouthwatering homemade desserts. The €22.90 set menu offers excellent value for money.

A very good restaurant, the food is excellent and the setting is really pleasant. It's a shame the service is rather slow. A bowl of water would have been appreciated with our dog. The service was a bit cold and not always very friendly.

A sure bet in Guizay, the snack menu is top-notch, tasty and generous, the dessert (floating island) was a real success, and the bread was good. The setting is enchanting, and the terrace was cool despite the heat. I highly recommend it! 🤩

We came for lunch today, just the two of us, and honestly… it was flawless from start to finish! The food was simply exceptional; we thoroughly enjoyed it. Delicious, high-quality dishes, and the cuisine was truly delightful! The service was impeccable, with a very warm and attentive welcome. And let's talk about the value for money… €60 for two people for a starter, main course, dessert, and two aperitifs! Frankly, considering the quality and everything we ate, it's more than reasonable. We had a wonderful time and we will definitely be back! ❤️ I highly recommend this place without hesitation.
